Neil picked up his first camera at the age of 15 - and never looked back.
It was at the age of 15 when Neil chose to spend time in the darkroom in preference to traditional art lessons. Back then, photography really was an art form, requiring time and patience. The time spent in front of the camera making every frame count was nothing compared to the time and energy invested in creating that perfect image.
From developing the film to the time at the enlarger dodging and burning, and the time to develop and reveal the finished print, every image Neil produced was guaranteed to be a unique creation, an un-repeatable work of art. Thankfully, those same skills have not been lost today.
In a world dominated by speed and instant gratification, Neil has transformed the art of digital photography, developing a retro look steeped in the nostalgia of Hollywood in the 1940s and 50s.
Bringing together some of the latest advances in photographic technology with lighting equipment and methods of yesteryear, Neil has created a unique and popular style which has become his signature.
A Member of the Master Photographer's Association and the British Institute of Professional Photography, as well as the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, Neil has gone on to chair both local and national photographic organisations, believing in the importance of investing his time back in the profession.
